Great Profiles
It's that time of the year again when the kids go back to school and routines return to normal. I don't know about you, but I always find September a little bit like January in that I plan to do new things, take up new hobbies, change my wicked ways etc. So it is a perfect time to update your profile and look at new ways of attracting people.
So what makes a great profile on a Dating Website? I suppose for me it is someone who is a bit quirky in what they put in their blurb. Someone who shows a bit of their humour coming through in what they say.
I've seen some fantastic profiles here on MaybeFriends.com, ones that make me smile when I read them. But does this just mean that they are really good at writing or that it actually is a reflection of their personality?
Let me know what you think - I've put it up as the poll for this week so I'll be interested to see the response to it.

So September the new Janurary and time to change my profile.... Hmmmm my profile looks the same all around, maybe its time to go to the gym and work on my new profile, and I might have my new physical profile in shape by Janurary, and then I work on my online profile and get that into shape too :-) Singledad
I certainly find an original profile does help to make someone stand out from the crowd and more interesting to open a conversation with. It doesn't have to be funny, just a simple story about themselves.. Trying to start a conversation with someone who has very little in their profile can be difficult as you have no idea what you might have in common... I would certainly encourage people to make an effort to put a blurb in their profile as well as filling in the rest of the topics as it helps to get more response and interest from those they write to.. just my two cents worth, Just_Right
If no one else makes a comment in here and ths is the only one will I win the Best Comment of the week and a free months membership :-)
