Leap Year
It's only once every 4 years, but today, us ladies can propose to a man. This was made law in the middle ages and if a lady proposed to a man on February 29th and he refused he had to buy her a silk gown and pay a fine of £1! St. Bridget is said to have suggested the idea to St. Patrick that women should, occasionally, be able to propose to men and it seems that one day every 4 years was enough.
Well I don't know about proposing marriage, but I do think, for the day that is in it, all the women on the site should make first contact with at least one man today - go on girls you know you want to:-)
I look forward to your comments, and your stories of successes with your new contacts!!

*sits back and awaits proposals* :D
It's gas, as far as im concerned every other 'normal' day is fine too, at least that way you know she's interested...lol..;-)
im not trying to be anonymous (mrhazeleyes) that was last week,
all these buttons are so confusing
the viper pit today should be interesting
I like the idea of men being fined! apparently the fine could be anything from money to a kiss, to soften the blow of rejection....Ah bless, male chivalry...bring back the olden days I say!
but surely a kiss being the fine kinda defeats the purpose..? Kissing is the icing on the cake as far as I'm concerned..!!
Damn........not one proposal : (
darn, should have posted anonymously, now everyone will know I'm a nerd.....
