Coffee Dates
Well it's now official, our members favourite first date is a Coffee followed by the Pub - we are a thirsty lot!
I do think coffee is a great first date - it can take as long or as short as you like. It can be daytime or evening, and it's a great way to get to know eachother without having to shout over music or throngs of people so a good choice in my opinion.
This week's poll I think should be quite interesting - "Have you ever Googled a potential date?" I'm sure most of you have Googled yourselves so you know what a potential date will read about you on the web but I can't wait to see how many of you Google someone else.
Congratulations to Toffee for winning the best post of last week and I look forward to seeing some more comments this week, remember the best comment of the week wins a months free membership on Maybefriends.com - The home of Irish Dating.

Coffee is a great plan, (unless your date asks for a milkshake in Starbucks - its happened!) but its casual enough to allow for pleasant chat and if there are no sparks, its no loss. Definitely a good choice, if all is going well can order another and another til caffeined up to the eyeballs, or venture on to the pub or for a stroll, while if the date really aint your cup of tea, can lash back your coffee and with scalded tonsils and eyes watering, thank them for coming out and skidaddle! Nothing ventured nothing gained, Tis all a learning experience (although with the amount of learning some of us are doing we could write a book at this stage! or ten!).

It's disastrous if you don't like coffee :D
Ah well thats it, you're screwed so!
I think that explains a lot Miss Kitten! :D
I think you've hit the nail on the head with that one!
That was you asking for a milkshake in Starbucks wasnt it?!Recognise ya now!
Ugh no! Milkshakes are disgusting!
Coffee.....milkshakes....what else is on your hit list? What do people do to tempt you out, dangle a ham sandwich on a stick?
how on earth do you "dangle" something on a stick.. surely you mean to attach it to a line, possibly with a hook.
maybe ami, you're not trying hard enough, a hang sangwish isn't really the the best thing to convince a fella to come out of his skin with. have you perhaps considered a piece lf lemon cake? works wonders I hear ;)
